I started this coat way back in the middle of 2020. I pieced it from white and cream colored kimono silk scraps. I added beads along the seam lines to emphasize the edges of each piece of fabric.
But it took a while, because new work for on-line shows, web shop updates, pieced scarves and special orders took up my time. So during empty moments, I sewed, one at a time, the pearl and seed beads. First the front, then the back, the sleeves and sides, until finally, finally, all seams were beaded.
Beading finished! It was ready to be sewn together, but other priorities took precedence, so all the pieces went to a shelf waiting a free moment.
That moment is now!
All parts are on my table and ready to be sewn into a coat.

Stay tuned.
So pretty!
Thank You Jan!
