After Thanksgiving, followed by a lovely four day visit from long time friends, I was in my studio and back at it.
It’s a new trench coat, pieced from a gorgeous turquoise kimono silk. In the picture below, the coat pieces are on my wall with the dark blue [though they look black they’re blue!] skinny bias strips pinned in place and ready to be sewn down.

Next up the sleeves and back.
A little break, even if you love what you do, I recommend it!
Awesome print. It goes well with this beautiful rainy day we are having. I love how the collar works in too. I will have to tune in next week to see what you’ll do with the sleeves.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the sleeves work too! It’s the fabric that suggests the end results, I’m just following along.
These are the words that came out of my mouth when I saw this piece just now: “Wow! Gorgeous! I love it”.
I am really enjoying the little bit experimental nature of your latest work. Thanks for sharing your cool new work Ann!
Thank You Christina!
Beautiful movement in the fabric! I am looking forward to seeing the sleeves added in also. Thanks for sharing.
