It happens every year, for weeks all my focus and energy goes towards preparing for the ACC’s Baltimore craft show.
I turn around and like magic, I’m there and it’s happening. Then, in what seems like minutes, it’s over and I’m back home.
The trip, the set up, the show itself, all went well. There was zero drama. Believe me, drama in a movie, a book, a play? … good. Drama while participating in a craft show? … not good. My goal these days: no stress. And happily, for this show, there was no stress.
Below, my booth on day one just before the show opened, set up and ready to go. All my new work hanging, in place and ready for its close up.

Imagine crowds of people coming to the show, stopping by, trying things on, chatting, finding their favorites, sharing stories, a quick hello or a long visit. The booth fills with people, the friends I’ve gotten to know over the years and the brand new friends I’ve just met. It’s the best party ever!
And then, I blink, turn around and it’s 5 o’clock on Sunday. The show is over. We repack, tear down the booth, box it all up and begin the trip back.
But first, since the plane doesn’t leave until late afternoon, there’s time on Monday for a lovely walk around Baltimore’s harbor promenade.
Such a beautiful day.
Past the dragon boats, lined up and waiting for warmer weather. It had been cold! Lows in the 20’s. Luckily, on Monday it had warmed up enough for a lovely walk.
And to the other side for a fantastic lunch at Azumi. The fish course.
After days of convention center sandwiches, this was a treat. Yum!
After, the walk back around to the hotel to pick up our bags and head off to the airport.
