Those pictures you don’t want to forget

You know how it is, you see something in a magazine, on a postcard or in some obscure corner of the internet and you do not want to forget it. It is beautiful or amazing or inspiring, so you cut it out. Then, you pin it up on your wall.

I have a wall like that, it is full to overflowing and is, in some places, many layers thick.

Christo, Ian Hundley, Dale Chihuly, an old photo of a Geisha, Yves Saint Laurent,  Alexander McQueen, Chris Duncan and an unnamed Japanese artisan, thank you to you all.

And the same to Marc Jacobs, Prada, Louie [my best cat ever], Julie Mehretu, the most amazing Spanish American painting of an angel, the CERN bubble-chamber detector, Emmet Gowin, Ralph Rucci and Ian Hundley. And to the Eiffel Tower, I send the biggest thank you of all.
