Santa doesn’t bring the presents to my studio, it’s Tess, our fantastic USPS mail carrier! She stopped by last week with an enormous box from Japan. Tess is a quilt artist and completely understands the importance of my kimono silks.
The amazing silks inside, mostly bolts, originally intended to be sewn into kimonos. Also, a few vintage kimonos in amazing designs. Each batch I get has a different characteristic, this one is about warm sunny colors, perfect for a cold, wet winter day.
