People ask, “Can you make one for me? But, can you make it different?”
These projects can be fun, they’re like puzzles to solve.
This one for example, she wanted the jacket made as a vest. I like it! A very good idea.
The original, a jacket. Its black sleeves help to envision it as a vest.
Or this one, “Speeding Auto”, in a slightly different size. Step one, pin applique pieces in place, step two, hand-stitch.
The first.
Something good always happens; the second ones are always a little different. I like that, each its own unique piece. Like family members, related, but distinct.
And this soon to be jacket, pieced using a wonderful wave printed kimono silk.
Its parent, close to the first, definitely related, but its own individual self.
I live in Florida and don’t need too many jackets. I love to see what you are making however, they are all so beautiful. Thanks so much for showing them to us.

You do beautiful work! I love how you’ve used appliqué to really make something colourful and unique. What vest pattern are you using or are you adapting/embellishing an already made jacket? Thanks for any ideas!
