Next weekend! October 26 – 27.
3 new jackets, each pieced in the style I call ‘Bold’. Bold because of the strong graphic kimono silks that take center stage.
The red one above uses a very cool retro flower design with subtler silks to balance it out.
It’s like a puzzle, laying out the fabrics so they compliment each other.
A grey/purple, softer version.
And one with the strongest most graphic silks I had, extra bold checks and dots.
Love to see all the variations you come up with, Ann… it’s hard to believe these are all the same basic pattern, yet so each is so distinctive. Amazing colour play!

Wow!!! is what popped into my head when I glimpsed that first bold magenta, pinks and reds jacket, and then the words ” this one is true art” popped in my head when I saw the bottom most graphic jacket. Yum! it’s always such a treat to see your newest work, Ann.

Can you make any of the above jackets in a longer style?

Hello Lise. Thank you for your inquiry. I can make this style of jacket in a longer version. One thing to remember is that each jacket is completely unique. Although a client can order one in a particular color way, black, whites and reds for example, because I use various fabrics and the layouts are always slightly different, each jacket is unique. It is yours and yours alone, there would never be an identical one anywhere.
I absolutely love this jacket, is there a pattern available to buy please?

Sorry! There isn’t a specific pattern available, but you could make your own starting with a basic ‘boxy’ shaped jacket. A classic Chanel jacket would be an example. Take in the sides a bit to emphasize the waist. I added a stand up ‘mandarin’ collar.
