Inside, there are works in process. Piles of parts almost finished, halfway finished and getting close, but as of right now, nothing complete.
On my table.

And on the floor.
It’s not really chaos, it’s more like lots going on, nothing finished.
Stay tuned for these.

Meanwhile, outside, it’s June! Spring is finishing up with a bang and summer is on its way.
A visit to a local peony farm.
Peonies in full bloom across the field. Can you believe this! Gorgeous!

And nearby, a stop at an iris farm. This electric blue one!
So, so, so pretty!

Found outside, stuck in my tree, the neighbor’s balloon dog, minus one ear and one leg. It had escaped their party and floated over the fence. They didn’t want it back and gave their ok to toss it.
Somehow, it’s still here in my kitchen. Slowly deflating.

Also from the outside but now in, this beautiful bouquet of roses, from my friend’s garden.

It’s that time of year where even with piles of amazingly gorgeous kimono silks, I find myself wandering outside looking for weeds to pull, plants to water, flowers to admire and rescue lost balloon animals.
Before it gets too hot to go outside, I should get a hammock. And a cold drink. And a cool breeze. Next to a lake. With puffs of clouds floating by.
I’m sending all my wishes to you and yours for enough free time so that you too can enjoy these last few weeks of spring.

Sometimes we need time tore inflate our imagination. Flowers can do that. Even saggy balloons. I do so look forward to your mailings. I am about to begin editing my debut novel with editors at a university press. I completed three drafts in the last months and feel that need to rest and see.
Thank You Jan! And I agree about the importance of rest. A good friend once told me that you can’t always breathe out, sometimes you need to breathe in.
LOVE seeing all the flowers in Gods Country, Oregon!!!
Me too Ruth! The flowers are crazy gorgeous this year!!!
