I’ve been piecing like crazy these last few months.
Lots of fabric flying, me in the middle, lost in the world of color and shape.
Below, a jacket sewn from various kimono silks.
White pieced with colorful brights.
There’s nothing like black to set off color.
Sewn with pretty greens, a new vest.
This one has appliqué too, little squares on the peplum.
Always a favorite, black and white.
This jacket was pieced from two patterned kimono silks. One white on black, the other black on white. I like the way the shibori dots add a random element to the ordered design.
Next weekend! August 3, 4 and 5. In San Francisco for the American Craft Council show.
These three and many more.
See you there!
