New jackets for the upcoming Craft2Wear show.
It’s only a few days away! This Friday and Saturday, October 7 and 8.
The jacket below, just finished, from an amazing kimono silk, with flying ribbons and fans, pieced with an oh so cool pine tree pattern.
And this one, a black and red with shibori flowers and dots. Tie-dye at its best.
A very rare turquoise silk pieced with royal and navy.
It’s a grid gone wild, no staying in your quadrant for these squares.
A hitoe and trench coat set. They’re good on their own or layered together.
A beautiful coral with flying cranes.
My hitoes are unlined tops that can be worn as a blouse or over another like a jacket.
As demonstrated below. A wonderful black and white print with scattered bits of color, layered over the coral cranes.
And over the two, a meisen trench coat printed with rune like shapes.
Some mysterious code?
Maybe saying, ‘Come to the Smithsonian’s Craft2Wear Show!!!’
See you there!
These new pieces are amazing!
What exquisite new work Ann!! I especially love whats going on with the colors and patterns of the two black based jackets, but then there is the amazing coral one, so well balanced with solids and pattern and colors in just the right amounts, and that Meisen trench coat that is subtle and rich and fascinating. They are all a feast for the eyes and begging to be tried on and purchased!
