I’ve been spending this last week sewing blouses, pants and skirts to go with some of my new jackets. It makes sense, ordering a few extra pieces to stretch the versatility of one jacket. They can be worn together or apart, with other jackets or on their own,… that’s why they’re called separates.
Here’s a gorgeous hand painted “plaid”, silk blouse. I’ve appliqued little squares along the front, a nod to where the buttons might have been.
A glittery ivory kimono silk woven with a subtle silver thread. It looks so pretty with the silver beads stitched onto the embroidered bamboo leaves.
And a “dash” blouse, little appliqued strips along the center front to echo the pieced stripes on this swing coat.
