There is a long tradition of adding a stripe down the sides of pants. It adds pizazz, color, an attitude, sometimes sporty, sometimes formal. And they’re everywhere. When you look, there they are, pants with stripes.
My version, Mondrian Pants, the pieced stripe inspired by Piet Mondrian, the master of the grid.
Traditionally, they’re found in men’s pants. Maybe because women weren’t wearing pants until relatively recently?
Here’s Prince William, with his brother, on his way to get married.
And sports. Think baseball, football, tennis, soccer, boxing, they all have them.
And marching bands, what would they be without out their cool pants?
For the most formal occasions, there they are again, pants with satin stripes down each side.

Love all the old striped pants references and photos but really adore the Mondrian pants!
