Final pictures from my photo shoot last week:
*A new jacket, this one is called “Regatta”, pieced from kimono silks.
*“Fragments”, a skirt and jacket. I’ve been posting this one as I worked on it. Now finished!
*“Confluence”, a vest, with a little bit of everything: piecing, applique and beading.
*“Shards”, a new shape, a coat. I like the pluses you get with a coat; more area for design, easy to wear and our favorite of all… it’s slimming!
*“Merger”, a jacket. Pieced from a gorgeous kimono silk, the purple has a woven chrysanthemum design.
All of these were pieced in a free form, instinctive, see what happens kind of a way. The fabric adds it’s own influences, like painting with water color.
I’ll be bringing these and many others to the ACC SF Craft Show next weekend. See you there!
