Trench coats, wear them belted to highlight your lovely womanly shape or leave them open, like a film noir detective. That’s what makes them great, they are adaptable. This trench is a one of a kind, I only have the tiniest scraps of fabric left. It’s an amazing kimono silk, an ikat technique that the Japanese call meisen. First they dye the pattern on the threads, then they weave it,…. wild, yes?

When the threads are rewoven, the edges are slightly out of alignment and the result is a design with soft edges.
I love it!
The awesome photo on top, with Sarah Fox, is by Dan Kvitka.
I LOVE this jacket!!! Great photo too! Think it would go with red hair? 🙂
I love this jacket too. Ohmygawd what a great cut and look! It will go with red hair, or grey, or black, or brown.

This trench coat is very cute, and reminds me a lot of something my little sister would wear. I can never pull off red clothing, it makes my face look really pink, but if this was in blue I would be all for it. I wonder how long it takes to make a coat like this.
