I love how these things work out.
One year ago, I had brought this just finished, long trench coat to the 2015 Craft2Wear show.
First hours of the show, someone fell in love with it. But, we’ve all been there, when the card won’t go through?
Neither of us was concerned. She would call later and give me her number.
But for whatever reason, I did not hear from her.
Things happen, life goes in a new direction. I put the coat back on the rack.
For the next year, I’d bring the coat to the shows, then pack it back up and bring it home.
It just needed the right person. The fabrics were gorgeous and subtle in that way that the Japanese do so well. And flattering! It looked great on.
A close up of the black and white design of an old village.
One year since the Craft2Wear 2015 show and there I was again, hanging it back up on my rack.
The show opened and guess who walked in? First thing?
The same person from last year. Was the coat still available? She’d been thinking about it all year.
Yes! There is was, waiting for her! And just for her.
A perfect ending!
A detail of the little designs scattered in the black.
I love this story! This unique and beautiful coat apparently made it’s way to where it needed to be!
Sweet story!
It was definitely meant to be.
wonderful collection
