Home from Baltimore 2024

Wow! The American Craft Folks continue to put on a fantastic show!

Although we were still at the convention center, we were in a new room and I was worried that all the long time visitors wouldn’t be able to find their way. Well, no problem with that. The doors opened and the people flowed in. It was a fantastic turnout.

The day before the show we had set up the booth, hung lights and the clothes. All my new work was on display and ready for its close up.

We were busy for the whole show! And had a blast. So much fun. How could you not? Long time friends, new ones, fabulous artists all around, it’s a three day party.

Then, it’s over. We pack up. Dismantle the booth and head back to the hotel.

What’s hidden is the harbor. Look close at the far left, you can just see the top of one of the ships anchored along the wall.

Because our plane left at the end of the day, we had all of Monday to walk around the harbor to the other side, grab lunch and visit the old part of town.

The weather was in fine form. Spring everywhere! Cherry blossoms blooming.

Then away from the water and into Fells Point, the oldest part of the city, where we were looking for a bookstore.

Perfect! Greedy Reads, a sweet little spot with an amazing selection of excellent books.

It has an old fashioned, friendly feeling and was filled with top notch choices.

Then back around the harbor, past the trees in bloom, to the hotel for our bags.

On the airplane, Bonus!!! An empty middle seat!

Proof that my sacrifices to the goddess of airplane seating worked?
