ACC Baltimore 2013! It’s a big trip, flying from Portland to Maryland, but so worth it; a fantastic show, wonderful people and lots of fun.
The Baltimore Convention Center, where the biggest craft show in the country takes place very February.
And inside, my booth. For the first time in a long time, I left 2 sides open. I finally took advantage of my corner space, much better!
Marketing 101: make your space easy to enter!
I was pretty busy, lots of people stopped by, so I wasn’t able to take many pictures. Well, except for the exceptionally photogenic. I had to stop everything to snap this picture of the handsome Blue.
There was a photo booth at the show where people could have their picture taken with the American Craft Magazine masthead. I loved this fabulous shot of Nina and Clif!

Whew! A whirlwind show! What a great time I had.
The last day there was a little glitch. My return flight was cancelled. My reassigned flight wasn’t until later in the day. But it was OK, it gave me a few extra hours to walk by the inner harbor.
And past the regal USS Constellation, a civil war era ship, now a National Historic Landmark.
Such a beautiful day. Look at that sky!
And then home.
You may remember I am a fan of the window seat, my first last and only choice: the window seat. But, because of my cancelled flight, I was assigned the only seat remaining, a middle seat. Sigh.
Still, better that than no seat at all.
At the gate I asked the agent, just in case, might there please be a window seat? Her answer, “Sorry. None. This flight is full”
And then, the next second, she picked up her microphone and announced, “Ann Williamson. Ann Williamson. Please come to the podium”, I turned around, “that’s me!”
Can you believe it? A couple wanted to change seats so they could be together, the seat they wanted to change? A window seat. Magic.
After I sat down, I looked out and there, high up in the sky, a big, full moon. Perfect!
You have good airplane karma. And it just goes to show you, it doesn’t hurt to ask. Welcome back!
Could it have something to do with my offerings to the goddess of airline travel? A little bag of pretzels and a whole can [not just a plastic cup] of her favorite soft drink.
