The air is cooler, lawns are turning beige and school is in session. It must mean that summer is coming to a close and fall is just around the corner.
I love this time of year! So beautiful.

I looked down and saw this little guy in someone’s rock garden.
Last week I visited the NW Marine Artworks here in Portland. 50 some years ago it was a thriving ironworks company that machined parts for the maritime industry and large public works projects [think dams and bridges.]
The business closed in the 80’s and the buildings were converted to artist’s studios.
They’ve put on display some of the wooden patterns from when it was an ironworks.
I gasped when I walked into this room. They are huge!
You can see the scale here with the folding tables and chair next to the wall.
So very cool.
