On their way! Jackets that have found new homes:
Above, “Ocean View”, a bit of shibori, a painted edge and embroidered, beaded lines.
“White Wall”, a compilation of different white kimono silks, small leftovers that are too beautiful to throw out.
“Stripes”. You know I love kimono silks with Japanese imagery. This one has bridges and villages and paths running through the countryside. I’ve cut vertical stripes and sewn in skinny strips of another silk.
And here, another landscape, this time with appliqued and beaded flowers.
A detail, it’s an homage to the Hawaiian shirt.
Stunning as usual. I love to see all the different techniques you use. Thanks for sharing.
Thank You Jane!
I love the way you so artfully and carefully mix these lovely pieces of fabric!
