A Trench and Two Hitoes

Finished! The pieced trench I’ve been working on.
Sewn from beautiful kimonos silks.

And for under, a Hitoe. One of my unlined jackets, soft like a blouse.

And these two together, under the trench.

Or the other the other way around, with the darker Hitoe under, then the lighter and then the trench on top.

What a fun project this was!
It was the perfect way to indulge my passion for layers and patterns on pattern.

    The trench makes me especially happy to look at because the layout of colors and the way the light and dark pieces are alternating and grouped in stripes look like piano keys to me! That effect adds another level of delight for a music lover.
