Rose overload

A new jacket collar, in progress, the appliques still pinned to my board. It’s inspired by all the beautiful roses blooming in my neighborhood. They’re going full blast, looking lush and full, bursting out everywhere. Blossoms pushing against each other, doing their best to outdo everything else.

Like these beauties. Gorgeous roses from my neighbor’s yard. She was out pruning and cutting them back because the thin stems were so full of the heavy flowers that they were in danger of breaking.

“Would you like some roses?” she asked as she handed me this amazing bouquet.
